Our last project involved redoing a store room into a meditation room.My client wanted this room to reflect peace and tranquil and wanted to use this space to unwind & rejuvenate. But I was appalled when the reached the client site. The room was tiny & crammed with all kinds of odds & ends. There was no breathing space, leave alone meditation! There were books strewn around, furniture carelessly tossed, and a giant washing machine up on the platform! Apparently, this room used to be a kitchen that turned into a dumping yard for the family. So, we started by first cleaning up & giving it a new lick of paint. We took inspiration from the five elements. We increased the size of the window and added a wider window sill to make it look airier & added a few potted plants. We added a dome where the fan was inserted to represent the earth. We added a light-up Om symbol to represent fire and it became the focal point of the room. Needless to say, the client was over the moon!
